This system is used by us to sign off and inspect scaffolding structures every seven days or after adverse weather to check the strength and stability and to make sure the scaffold components have not been moved by an unqualified person. 
The card provides all the information relating to the scaffold including the loadings that can be imposed on the scaffold with boxes to tick to show the loading the scaffold is capable of holding from 0.75kn per sq m which covers light duty works such as painting though to support scaffolds with loadings as high as 3kn per sq m and these cards also include the installers details and an emergency contact number should there be a problem with the structure erected.
The date of installation is shown and seven days from this date is when the inspections need to take place. The holder can also be used as a scaffold incomplete sign before the inspection card is installed warning other site operatives that the structure is unsafe for use and should not be used.
